Precious: Tell us about your route to the job.
Solid technical know-how, hard work, strategic use of mentor network, self-confidence.
Precious: Describe a typical working day.
I get up and either meditate/yoga or kick box depending on the day. Then I start work and work from around 10:00am to about 5:30pm. I check and respond to both voice mails and emails. I work on project-related stuff. Talk to staff about objectives. Finish any proposals if I need to and then I head off to school, which starts around 6:00pm. From 6:00pm to 8:30pm (Mon-Thurs), I go to school. I usually get home around 9:00pm, make dinner, work on business stuff or work on writing my book until around midnight or 1:00am and then go to bed.
Precious: Ambition...
..is imperative. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to be ambitious and humble.
Precious: What do you do to relax?
I use guided meditation tapes, read, take a bath, sleep or chat with my Mother to catch up on family stuff.
Precious: Any advice to those who wish to follow in your footsteps?
Know your stuff, be prepared to make sacrifices and get your college degree- shoot for your Masters.
