Women of the Future an inspiring event to be held on

Women’s Day. St Matthew Academy is the country’s leading school for teaching
enterprise skills to its students whose ages range from 3 to 16 years old.
A stellar line up of speakers

acclaimed make-up artist Eryca Freemantle, will be among the inspirational
women sharing their stories of success with the girls at the London based
school.
PRECIOUS will also launch PRECIOUS Girls!, a national competition that aims to stimulate the creation and growth of businesses by engaging young women and girls in enterprise alongside raising money for charity.
One hundred and twenty St Matthew girls will be in the audience alongside successful London businesswomen and professionals from Reuters, and Citi bank, and Urban Synergy, who are all giving their time free to help mentor and encourage the students.

The Joy of Networking in partnership with The British Library and Business Link for London
Bringing Enterprising Women of Colour Together
Are you the next hot thing?!
We are enterprising; we are women - but most of all, we are taking on the world!
If you are a woman of colour, starting or running your own enterprise that is going to change the world or maybe make you a millionaire - you need to be here, with us.
This is the only network of it's kind, bringing together exceptional black and Asian women, who are making waves as independent, entrepreneurial, dynamic ground-breakers - we don't wait for the establishment to tell us what to do or how to do it - we see a market or social need and we go out there and fill it.
Why networking?
Precious Online is a network of such women and so, appropriately, the theme of our very first conference is networking - our facilitators are all entrepreneurs in their own right and will offer both technical tips and insights into networking for our delegates - we want to make sure that we are using networking in a really impactful way - if we do it effectively it should have the following results:
- Collaborate with other entrepreneurs and businesses
- Become confident pitchers and presenters
- Identify and develop a network of partners, mentors and supporters
- Achieve a reputation of growth and success for our businesses
Click here for the day's programme.
Fancy a tipple?
Most importantly, we just wanna meet you all!! This is the first conference of it's kind and we are excited at the prospect of getting together with like minded women, creating a mental map of the goods and services that our businesses in London offer, making professional contacts and hopefully making friends! So at the end of the day, we're gonna get the free booze out and do what we do best - meet, drink, chat and have some laughs! Ah - the joy of networking!

How to Work A Room!
Precious Online Magazine in conjunction with
The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and "The Magic of Networking" present:
HOW TO WORK A ROOM!
Whether you are a new or an experienced Networker, make 2006 the year you establish new contacts and expand your business network.
Come to our networking evening on International Women's Day, Wednesday 8 March and share experiences with other women of colour in business.
Who should attend?
You should attend if you have responsibility for building a client base to build the business particularly if you are working for yourself. Research shows that networking, referrals and word-of-mouth are critical to growing a small business, provided that the concept of networking is properly understood; if it is not, then your networking activities are not likely to benefit the bottom line.
"How to Work a Room" will put you on the road to success.
Event Details:
Wednesday 8 March 2006
Venue: London Chamber of Commerce, 33 Queen Street EC4R 1AP
Speaker: Stephanie Peckham, The Magic of Networking
